Last week we told you that we have a quilt that was published in a calendar…the new American Patchwork and Quilting 2016 calendar.
This week our calendar quilt came home. I was so surprised when it came. We were so busy when this quilt was made and sent out.
I didn’t remember at all how I had quilted it. When I saw it I smiled. It doesn’t look terrible. With the pressure I was under to hurry, I figured I did something quick…but I didn’t. I usually chicken out and do something simple in the white areas.
I was planning on taking pictures without Ruby in them as she was on a cable outside but once she saw the quilt she wanted on it. Then a cottontail ran through the yard and she was completely distracted. I couldn’t get her to look at the camera at all.
Finally Hubby helped me get her to look at the camera and we ended up with an okay picture.
The quilt is made of entirely Moda fabric. Thanks to them for providing the fabric for the project…originally we had called the quilt “Ode to Moda”. Happy Surprise is a good name though especially because that’s exactly what I got when I opened up the box with the quilt in it.
The calendar that the quilt in is really nice. It has 12 different projects in it. All of the projects have complete instructions so it’s really the same as buying a quilt book only you get a calendar too. We started selling them via our blog last week and we still have a few more left in the shop. Here is the ordering information.
Today we’re sharing our accomplishment at Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Crazy Mom Quilts, and Link a Finish Friday.
What a gorgeous quilt and a beautiful pup! Thanks So much for sharing! Also, you are an inspiration to us new quilters that have our doubts!
Love the colors in this!
