They days are counting down. Â Kelli and Jason get married on March 15th and that has me scrambling as the double wedding ring quilt I made isn’t finished yet!! Â It is on the quilting frame though.
I have to say..I love the colors. Â Kelli picked them out and I think she did a wonderful job.
I didn’t take time to debate of think about my quilting motif….I just started quilting. Â I didn’t have time to get indecisive. Â Here’s a peak at what it looks like.
I am not super speedy plus there are gobs of starts and stops. Â I timed myself and it take me an hour to do a row.
Little by little, I’m getting it done…then it will be on to binding.
It looks great!! Those special motifs will be cherished. I finally got my longarm working, and I hope to do what you do at some point!!
looks awesome. Love that color blue.
It’s fabulous. I love the blue background – nice change from the usual.
You and Kelli make a good team – that’s going to be an awesome quilt and I think you must have been piecing in your sleep because you pieced it awfully fast!
Absolutely drop dead gorgeous!! Kelli and fiance will LOVE IT!!
The is a beautiful quilt! Great colors and quilting.
The quilt is beautiful. Think I would like to try one, if I didn’t have all my other desires going thru my head.
You’ve done 2 different Double Wedding Ring quilts – correct? What ‘pattern’ – ‘design’ – ‘technique’ did you find you like the best? I realize the first one would be where you were learning all about each of those and the second quilt is where you perfected them. Or which one would you like to repeat or try a new ‘size’, ‘style’ or ‘color’? I know when I do a second or third pattern, I want to change it up a bit.
Beautiful, Jo! And I agree, Kelli chose some great colors. It just sings. You have done a great job. The quilt will be a treasure! Kudos!!!
So beautiful! I just love how the blue background makes the other colors pop. Good job!
LOVE IT!!!!
Looking good!!! I’ve done quilting where each 9″ block took me an hour and 3 thread color changes!!! It definitely gets challenging – but you are so up to this challenge and will have this beauty finished in no time!!!
When we married, my good friend gave us a card with a “drawing” of a quilt. She promised me it would be finished soon, and it was!! All things great are worth the wait!! Take a picture of the top, put it in the card and give yourself a reasonable deadline to get it finished. The happy couple will appreciate when it’s done!!

The quilting is something I could do if I have a drawing of it, I love it. Is it possible to get a copy if the drawings of the way you quilted it? Please send me a email and let me know, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
