I am keeping up with my commitment of working on a charity quilt each week. Here’s the latest one from the frame. I believe this one is from Marge.
I am trying out a new to me free motion motif. This one is from Step-by-Step Free-Motion Quilting: Turn 9 Simple Shapes into 80+ Distinctive Designs Best-selling author of First Steps to Free-Motion Quilting is what I am trying out. If you don’t have this book and want to free motion, I HIGHLY suggest getting it. The book is my favorite and most used.
I also HIGHLY recommend a dry erase board to practice on. It’s a great easy thing to ask for as a Christmas present. (that’s how I got mine)
I’m making my hooks a little bigger but I’m okay with that. I am doing an echo and travel a little more than she did too. That’s okay as long as I stay consistent.
This is a lap quilt so hopefully it will be off and finished up soon. I sure do love working on the charity quilts…it one of those things that does my heart good.
I have the Craftsy class Free Motion Quilting Essential by the author, Christina Cameli. She’s very good. BTW, a Happy Birthday, Jo!
I don’t think that is mine.
Happy Birthday Jo! I am trying to get a package to you in the mail this week, so your birthday will have to last a little bit longer.
Pugs and kisses,
Nancy
