On the Frame: Charity Quilt

Blog readers often send me quilt tops. I machine quilt them and bind them. Then they are sent off to a worthy charity. This is one of those….

I still trying to march through the charity quilt tops I have.  I now have some in all different stages of completion.  Some have backings picked out…some waiting for binding and one even on the quilting frame.

This one is from Marge.  The pattern is simple in a good way.  It’s a great pattern to use when having a good feature fabric for the center…but more on that once I show you the whole quilt all bound and complete.

I have a goal to try to finish a charity quilt each week…but that’s tough to do with working full time.  I thought to step the goal back a bit but then decided that I’m keeping the goal but will not be too hard on myself if I don’t meet it each week.

I’m off to keep on trucking.  These charity quilts don’t get finished on their own!!

  1. I think your wise to keep a goal that you feel good about. Even wiser to be willing to grant yourself grace for those times life is too demanding to reach the goal. We do things for others out of love and compassion and I think those things get woven into our projects. Better that than stress or frustration.
