News Stand Alert: Quilty Magazine

If you get a chance, check out the latest issue of Quilty magazine.  Kelli and I have a quilt in that is featured in there called Stars in Formation.

Quilty-1

Way back in August Kelli and I were scrambling to get this quilt done.  In between Buck and Jen’s wedding and other happenings it was intense but we did it!

Quilty-2

It was one of those times that we submitted too many projects at once thinking none of them would get accepted but they did!!  And then I had to tell Kelli that we needed to sew like crazy because too many things got accepted.  Luckily she just plays along and smiles and sews like crazy when that happens.

This quilt was made using Moda’s fabric line, Wren’s Friends.  It’s a great line to work with and is still in the stores including here at Fat Quarter shop.

Quilty-3

This quilt was lots of fun for Kelli and I.  It was a little out of our comfort as it is much more modern than we are used to making….so will we design modernish design again??  …SURE.  We like all quilting and don’t want to be limited.

Kalissa was home and asked how does it feel to be published in a magazine??  My reply, I doesn’t seem real unless I see the magazine on the stand in the store…Yep, you probably will see another picture of this when I do see it on the stands!!

  1. I am working on 2 quilts from the last Quilty magazine, so I am anxious to see the new issue. I wish they would accept paper subscriptions. I like digital books, but not quilt magazines. Great job on getting published in a new venue.

  2. Ooh, I love the setting and the colors. I may do something like that with my Jubilee stars. Will definitely look for the mag on the stands; I haven’t heard of it before. Congratulations on being published! Do I see a link-up in your future?

  3. Congratulations! You ladies work so hard doing good works through your quilting and give so much inspiration and free quilty stuff to all of us out here in Blogland–you deserve to be recognized in a great magazine! Can’t wait for it to come out!

I have not purchased a mini charm pack, but I did receive a free one from the Boo Crew line. I haven’t decided what to do with it yet; perhaps a Halloween table runner or coasters.
