A year or so ago, I headed north to Cresco, Iowa and visited the quilt gild there. Â I brought some quilts for a trunk show and came back later to teach class. Â One of the quilts I brought was Nine in the Middle.
If you’re looking for the pattern you can find it in Bonnie Hunter’s book, Adventures with Leaders & Enders: Make More Quilts in Less Time! It’s a bunch of scrappy goodness!!
After the trunk show, Joyce one of the gals attending decided to make this quilt too. Â Just the other day, she send me a photo of her completed version.
WOW!! Â I love it.
I make so many quilts. Â I end up giving many away. Â My sister in law was visiting a few weeks ago and I told her to just pick a quilt and take it home. Â I was really careful to make sure that this quilt didn’t get into the pile of quilts she could choose from. Â I just love it..love it LOTS!!
What is really funny is that I went home from the event in Cresco and was really inspired to make the quilt Joyce showed…it is Bowdacious. Â The pattern for this quilt can be found in the same book.
Of course, other projects have gotten in my way, but I still have Joyce’s quilt in my mind and one day, I really really think I am going to cut some pieces and start on this quilt. Â It really would make a great leader and ender project…
Let’s just say I have a case of “quilt envy” over Joyce’s Bowdacious.
If you’re interested, you can see more of my Nine in the Middle quilt here. Â Do you have “quilt envy” over a quilt???
You are welcome to come to Utah and visit one of our guild’s any time!
I have that book and now I want to make them both. Thanks for sharing.
Way to go Joyce!
