A post from Kelli–
A bit ago, mom called me and said that Ila had a box of things that she wanted to pass along. Â As it turns out, the weekend we were supposed to meet Ila’s husband, Mom and Dad were going to be gone for the weekend and I was going to be finishing up childcare so that they could leave a bit earlier. Â Kalissa came to the rescue and ended up meeting Ila’s husband after she got off work.
As always, Ila sent some wonderful little treats. Â My favorite is the wonderful Pecan-Cashew Nut Crisp. Â I swear, if you could bottle up heaven and make a granola out of it, this would be the stuff.
I ended up rationing out the Pecan-Cashew Nut Crisp so that it lasted a week or so and have now dug into the big bag of Cashew Clusters with Pumpkin Seeds and it’s running a close second. Â I just love it all!
Nursing classes have started for me again and I’m trying really hard to keep the weight off that I’ve already lost. Â It’s known that nursing students gain weight as they go through the program. Â I am hoping to defy that and actually loose a few more pounds. Â I’ve measured my goodies out into portioned sizes and munch on it a little during our long 4 hour lectures. Â It’s great. Â I’m getting a sweet treat and not hitting the vending machines.
So thanks Ila! Â Your kindness is wonderful and much appreciated!
When is the wedding?
good for you portion control is very important in wt loss, prevention, and sweet treats are needed in nursing school!!!! helps memory retention…unproven, but i think its so.
