So Hubby finally took a whole day off. For those of you that don’t know, he’s a workaholic…great guy but a workaholic. For the most part, it doesn’t bother me anymore. I figured if I can’t change him…join him. He works seven days a week. This time of year Sundays are more like 4-5 hour work days-but he’s still up and at ’em bright and early every single day. He has a philosophy that it’s easier to just do the chores and feeding than it is to write everything down and explain what he does to his boss. So rarely does he take a day off. In 2014 he took something like 2 days off.
He had trouble taking a day off when we lived at the farm as it always bothered him to hear someone else doing the chores while he was in bed. That meant if he did take a day off…we couldn’t just stay home. It would drive him too crazy. So Saturday, he decided that he would take a day off. We decided we wouldn’t go to hotel and just have a day and stay home. We have so much to do here that it’s hard to justify leaving…we had a work day instead. That’s okay though we needed it. We did vow that we’d do something out of the ordinary though and for us…that meant going to a movie. (Don’t we live the wild life!!)
Lucky for us the $.99 cent theater in Sumner was showing a movie I was interested in seeing- Initiation Game. Our son Karl had seen it and suggested that I might like it. Well it’s WWII and historical so chances are I’d like it…and I did.
Here’s a link to the trailer.
I won’t say a lot more than that…If you’re a movie goer it was well worth your time. If you’re a Netflix or On Demand movie watcher…Watch for this one to come your way and rent it. Hubby’s not a big movie fan but he stayed awake and he says he thought it was pretty good too.
We love the $.99 theater…sure movies aren’t the newest ones to hit the screen but they typically have movies that aren’t WAY past current and they are typically movies that I wouldn’t mind seeing. It seems that every time we do go, I always ask myself why don’t we go more often.
Anyway…that was our big date night out.
