Movie Review: Bohemian Rhapsody

When I designed this quilt that was featured in our quilt book, Karl was sitting on the computer next to mine and was listening to the song Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.  This quilt ended up needing a name so when the time came, I named the quilt Bohemian Rhapsody.
BohemianRhapsodyThis is still one of my favorite quilts.  I LOVE the fabrics.  LOTS!!  (Read about the quilt here.)

I went on and made another one…(Read about it here)

So when I heard they were making a movie about Queen called Bohemian Rhapsody I thought Karl and I better go.

When Karl was home we went to a movie.  Movies are the thing Karl and I do.  He likes movies…I like movies.  The others in our family will watch a movie but they don’t love them like Karl does.

I was so happy this was showing at the local theater while he was home.

So did we like it??  YES.  I loved it.  I grew up in the 70s and early 80s.  Queen music was something that was part of my day.  Back then there wasn’t internet so a fan couldn’t get into being a fan like one can now days.  It was great to see minds at work behind the music…admittedly, a little sad too.

Here’s the trailer.

Rotten Tomatoes says 92% if viewers enjoyed the movie….
IMBd says an 8.4 rating…

Karl and I say, if you like Queen music, go.  We think you’ll love it.

I love the music and loved the movie as well. The history of their group and their relationship was very interesting.

What a special evening for you and Karl! Your quilt is a beauty too! When I designed this quilt, it was one of my first onesI did it all in shades of beige, and I love it!

Just been to see this fab film. I was lucky enough to see Queen live in the 1970’s when I was a young teenager and managed to pass myself off as old enough to get in , so worth it.
