Movie Night: Toy Story 4

I told you that when Karl is around I go to a lot more movies.  I actually like movies but no one else really does except for Karl…so when Karl’s around we are always looking for movies that we could go to.

Remember me telling you about our adventure to the movie theater in Waukon where they serve pizza while goers are watching the show.  Read about that here if you missed it.

My Neighbor Girl has been over to my house quite a lot over the summer.  Mostly she comes and hangs out…she just hangs out and does whatever I’m doing which lately is a lot of childcare.

Karl and I were talking about going to a movie.  We looked and Toy Story was playing at two of the theaters.

We could go to the one with pizza…or the one without.  We opted WITH!!  We wanted the pizza.  It’s really good.  We decided being it was a good kid movie that we’d ask Neighbor Girl to go with…and she did!!  Here we all are….

Ordering pizza was a bit of a challenge.  Neighbor Girl is a little bit picky….She’s gotten WAY better…but still, a little picky.  Before she wouldn’t even try things.  Now she at least tries them.

They have a “Big Mac” pizza which is all the toppings you’d get on a Big Mac from McDonalds and lots of other fun combos.  We ended up getting “The Big Kahuna”.  Here’s the toppings on it….

-Canadian Bacon
-Bacon
-Pepperoni
-Pineapple
-Mozzerella

We convinced here that she actually liked all of the toppings.  She’d just have to be brave and try them together.  She ended up liking it a lot.

So for the movie review:
We all loved it.  All of the Toy Story movies are great for adults and for kids.  There is a little humor that goes over the heads of kids that adults can catch.  It makes it fun for all.  If you have a young one in your life, grab them, buy a ticket and go.  It’s always great to see movies that are still wholesome and entertaining.  This is definitely one!!

  1. I love pineapple on a pizza too! You are creating precious memories for Neighbor girl. I am sure she is storing up all kinds of ideas from her visits with you and your family about how she wants to be/do with her family when she is grown up.

  2. What a great way to spend the evening – we’ve been wanting to see this – glad it will be worth the effort!
Nice to have Karl to see movies with – and neighbor girl a plus!
    Love and prayers.

  3. What lovely smiles you all have. Your Karl seems like the kind of guy who could coax a smile out of anyone. An important quality for a teacher!

  4. I heard that movie is really good but the ending is sad. So glad neighbor girl is back in your life! You and Karl are a positive light in her life!

  5. We have a revamped theater here that just opened where you can get pizza and watch a movie. Will have to go. Is Karl heading back to Houston in the fall or looking for a local teaching job? I know you have loved having him home.

  6. What a fun time out and whats not to like about bacon and pineapple. Glad you enjoyed the movie, its on my list.

  7. Sounds and looks like a good time was had by all. I’m sure the neighbor girl enjoys her time with you and I’m sure you are a positive influence. Glad you have a movie buddy. Enjoy.

Love, hugs and prayers coming your way.

  8. I love that you’re teaching Neighbor Girl skills about trying new things and how to anticipate success in trying new things. I bet Karl can be pretty persuasive when it comes to pizza, too. Glad you all had a fun night out.
