Jimmy John from a Reader

I have recently gotten in a few photos of quilts made from our patterns.  I hope to share them with you over the next week.

This is our Jimmy John quilt made by Brenda.

Jimmy-John
It was made by Brenda and she writes, “I followed your Jimmy John quilt directions with modifications and made my first quilt. And of course when you improve one thing in the room other things need updating too. So… I made curtains and a pillow sham to match.

Thank you so much for posting such easy to follow directions. I am one proud Grandma and my Grandson said it is perfect!”

Doesn’t it look great and perfect for a grandson.  I love this quilt for both the geometric aspect but also because the pattern is easy to sew.  Here is our original one.

You can find the free pattern here.  This is probably the most popular free pattern we have on the blog.  I originally made it for my brother and his wife as an anniversary present.

Thanks so much for sending us a picture and allowing me to share it with our blog readers Brenda.  We truly love seeing all the quilts and variations made from our quilt patterns. We would love to feature your quilt here on the blog.  You can send it to me at rogjok@iowatelecom.net.

  1. Hi Jo! I admire the way you buy antique furniture and refinish it for your use. I’m wanting to stain a small bookcase that my grandfather made in 1947. The stain we used has not lasted. Would you mind to let me know that favorite stain that you like?
I would appreciate it so very much.
