Mail Call from Ray

I have a mail call from Ray today.  He’s gotten many great goodies in lately and he’s excited to share it all with you.

Ray writes:
I received a wonderful box in the mail from Susan D. in PA. In the box was a great assortment of leftover scraps from an I Spy quilt that she made. Some of them are close to a quarter yard in size and have the makings for some really fun quilts.

She also sent some orange yardage that will be great for backings and borders. Of course, autumn is getting here very soon and they would be great as pumpkins. Oh my, what will they get used for???

Thanks Susan.

It has been busy at the post office lately with another box of tops for… Quilts for Kids from Patty K. in FL. Take a look at these beauties.

Patty named the first quilt, A Star is Born. Love all the charm square four patches with the star fabric used for sashing and border. The star fabric is from Gail C. It measures 37 x 37.

Next is Baby Bear, Isn’t he cute?  The border and backing are from Gail C. It measures 40 x 38.

Next is Happy Hearts quilt. Per Patty, the colored fabric is from Jo K. I love the hope and love fabric that is included for the backing. It measures 31 x 46.

Then comes Thomas, the train panel quilt, The panel is from Bonnie C. and the border is from Gail C. It measures 48 x 37.

The next quilt Patty calls Violets in the Woods. Love the purples in this adorable quilt. It measures 31 x 40.

Next is the Zoo Boat. Gail C. provided these stars also. It measures 26 x 32.

Next is Shattered Dreams. Fabric is from Nancy F. in FL. It measures 38 x 45.

Last but not least is Sweet Sixteen. Love this beautiful red and white quilt. Charms are from Jo K. It measures 35 x 52.

Thanks, Patty and company.”

Patty and Ray are both Floridians.  It’s so fun to see that they have teamed up.

I do want to especially thank the many people that sent goodies to me and in turn, I passed them to Patty.  If you didn’t notice yet, Patty is a prolific quilter.  She makes lots of tops for kids and in turn, passes them to Ray.  If you have kid-friendly fabric that you would like to pass along to Patty, let me know.  I can set you up with Patty’s email.

I am so thankful for everyone who supports the community quilt products.  In these blog posts, we see what people are on the front line are doing but we don’t often see the wonderful things all of you are doing…like cleaning your sewing rooms and sending these wonderful donations.  I thank you for that.
