One of my favorite things is featuring your version of our quilts on the blog. I think seeing how other people transform our quilts into their beauties is so fun!! Today it’s Juli’s turn to wow us with her version of Ariel’s Wedding Quilt.

Oh my. I love it!!! The turquoise is so fun!!

Love reading your blog! I had a shoebox full of 2 1/2” squares from previous projects and inherited scraps. I found your Ariel’s Wedding Quilt pattern.
I didn’t have enough yardage of a single fabric for the background, but found this beautiful “peacock turquoise” at our local Walmart for $2.97/yard. Already had a turquoise floral flat sheet for the background in my stash.
I made my version a bit narrower than the pattern. Just love the final flimsy, and it made a good dent in my stash of squares! Now to find time to quilt & bind.
If you don’t remember our original version, here it is…

Ariel is my niece and this was the quilt I made for her wedding.

I wanted something simple in a vintage farmhouse look. It was quick and so easy to make.
I really love Juli’s version and would like to make one again for a donation quilt. I love the bright colors. It reminds me that this quilt would also be great in helping us use up some batik scraps!
You can read the full post about Ariel’s quilt HERE. That’s where you can find the free pattern too.
By the way, Ariel is now a mom to three super cute and bright kiddos. She’s a homeschool mom who is very busy chasing her crew.
If you have a quilt that you made using one of our patterns from the blog, a magazine, or our book and would like to share it with us, we’d love to see it. You can send a picture along with a few sentences to joscountryjunction@gmail.com.

Judy you did a Fabulous job, love your quilt! Thanks so much for sharing it!
And thank you Joe for sharing the free pattern again!
Thank you Jo! By using the 2 1/2” squares as leader-enders while working on other quilts, the strips felt almost like no work at all! That made the flimsy go together rather quickly. I was so pleased with how this turned out! Thank you again for the free pattern!
Wow!!! That quilt is beautiful!! Love the turquoise with all the various colors, lights & darks.
An inspiration for the rest of us to try that quilt too.
Thanks Juli & Jo for sharing.
Juli, beautiful quilt and such a smart way to use your small squares. It amazes me how nice some of the fabrics are at Walmart and I have been know to use some of theirs also.
Awesome Ariel’s Wedding Quilt pattern. What a great design!
Juli’s version reminds me of a stained glass window. Love the background color.
Thanks for sharing both versions!
