I finally cut this quilt out….
It’s been sitting out tempting me since November but other projects have taken priority. If you’re a reader of my blog you know that this isn’t a typical color scheme for me….that’s okay, I won’t be keeping this quilt….It will be a charity quilt to be given away sometime this year. I think that’s probably why it got set on the back burner.Â
I have a whole bunch of projects going right now. That’s typical of me. My least favorite part of quilting is cutting so I often cut a couple out at once….what’s your least favorite part of quilting?
I don’t think I have a favorite part, but I do have a least favorite–actually a couple of them. The top of the list is getting the sandwich pin basted, followed closely by trying to iron the backing without getting it in the floor and stepping on it ,etc.
The more I quilt, the more I appreciate each step. I have learned to cut quilts out when the family needs me to be hanging out in the kitchen. I can do my thing and still be apart of their thing.
Least favorite are borders, no idea why. FAVORITE…. hand sewing the finishing binding, it’s relaxing (and done!!)
I have started making quilts that don’t have bindings….
