Lapel Sticks for your Stocking-A Giveaway!!

Earlier this week Leslie from Lapel Stick contacted me and asked me if I was still loving my Lapel Sticks…I, of course, said “YES”!

Have you used these great fabric glue sticks?  Earlier this year I did a review of them when I was making this project.  You can read the lapel stick review here.  If you want to read the details of the making the wool project, read about that here.

I loved them then and I still love them now.

The folks at Lapel Stick want to play Santa and offered to giveaway a Lapel Stick to two of my readers….How cool it that??  I’m thinking you all might want to play Santa and purchase some of these handy fabric glue sticks to put in the stocking of your quilty friends, your college students and your professional friends.  The Lapel Glue Sticks work great for temporary seam emergencies, making wool projects, or a host of other fabric related emergencies.

If you would like Lapel Stick  to drop a fabric glue stick in your stocking (actually your mailbox), leave a comment here in the comment section telling why you’d like to have a Lapel Stick.  I’ll pick two winners on Tuesday the 6th.

  1. Would love to try the Label Stick for use in appliques. I’m sure I would find other uses for it also. Thanks for the giveaway.

  2. I have just recently started my first wool project. I would love to use the lapel stick to keep all the pieces in place while I stitch them down! Thanks for the opportunity to win. Love all the projects you share on your blog.

  3. I would love to try the Label Stick….. this might be just the ‘help’ I need to hold my applique pieces in place while I hand stitch them down. Thanks for the review and info on this product.

  4. I would love to try these! I’m thinking of so many things they could be used for! I’m betting my daughters would love to try these too!

  5. OUUU!! I want one. I dont like fusing wool and would love to try it. I really need to finish my wool project ?? years old?? Also Dec was my parents wedding aniversery… what a great day.

Ooohhhh! I’ve heard so many good things about these sticks! I would love to try one out in a lot of places – foundation piecing and applique of course, my own blouse collar points (they always want to turn the wrong way!), and I’m wondering how it would work to temporarily stick my pattern to the poster board on the wall for hand’s free instruction???

  7. I think having this on hand the other day would have been great! We had an uncooperative collar episode and I was thinking to just glue that puppy down! I’ve seen some gals talk about that back pocket flap on jeans that wants to flip up get Lapel Sticked down and it works….sounds very useful!!! Of course there are a dozen reasons in the quilting room to use it for, applique, paper piecing to name a few. Thanks for the chance.

  8. I’ve been wanting to try it since you first blogged about it, but I haven’t been ordering fabric lately (using the stash, you know) and wouldn’t want to pay shipping for something so small. I’ve forgotten to look for it the few times I’ve been to a craft/fabric store for other things in the last few months.

  9. I’m always interested in a notion that makes quilting/applique easier and is of good quality. Sounds like (reads) this would fit the bill. Thanks for the opportunity.

  10. I would love to try a lapel stick. The glue stick I use for applique is horrible and a disaster. It is goopy and if I am not careful, the glue will show through the applique. I would treasure a stick that would solve this problem for me.

  11. I had never even heard of Lapel Sticks before. Thanks so much for mentioning them today. (And for the link to your review.)

I would like to win one of these. I think I’d like to try using it on both regular and wool applique.

And I would also like to try using it to position zippers without pinning. I have a vintage pattern that calls for a side zipper, and it occurs to me that Lapel Stick might be very useful there.

  12. Have been working on a BeeAttitudes applique and sure would like to try the Lapel Stick with it…bet it’s better than spray basting…sometimes that gives out before I can return to the block! :(

  13. They work great for appliqué. They are also great to place fabric on stabiliser when doing appliqué in the hoop on my embroidery machine

  14. I have never heard of these until this week and I have to say that the possibilities with appliqué are amazing — among other things. Might just be something that should be in one’s purse for whatever comes along! Thanks.

  15. I’ve never tried a lapel stick, but I use glue sticks for SO many things. Paper piecing applique, string blocks, flip and sew corner triangles….. I could go on and on……

I’d love to try one of these out! In fact, I’ve been meaning to pick one up while I was out shopping but kept forgetting….

  17. I’ve had one of these on my wish list since you did your review. I haven’t found one yet so winning one of yours would be great. Thanks for the chance.

  18. I don’t think they sell them in the Netherlands. I’ve never tried (wool) applique before, but my hubby bought me a great book with lovely patterns, so I would love to try both a Lapel Stick and applique at the same time.

  19. I was able to find a Lapel Stick this summer on a trip. I am doing the Orca Bay mystery, and after not having any luck starching my strips together, I remembered my Lapel Stick. I laid down one strip, swiped it with the stick, placed the other strip on top, and smoothed them together. Works great!! I would love to have a couple more to share with friends.

  20. I would love to win a glue stick. You have said such positive things about this brand. I have tried others with a mixed response
