Kitting Up Again

Tomorrow morning, my daughter Kelli and I are headed over to the Stitchery Nook for the Needlework Market open house. I thought it might be a good idea to pull a few projects that I plan on stitching in the near future. I’d kit them up, and if I needed any floss, I would pick it up when I go.

I told you that I plan on getting With Needle and Thread from With Thy Needle and Thread.

I looked around on the internet and found a place that listed the flosses needed for it. I printed that and then checked my stash.

Then I made a list of what colors I need. I have 40 count Legacy linen from Picture This Plus. The pattern calls for 36 but I’ll use my 40 count. WHEW. I don’t need to buy linen for that.

I pulled the floss for My Home Sweet Home. I had everything I needed. WHEW.

I have wanted to stitch this one for LONG time. A blog reader gifted it to me. I see it on other people’s flosstube and always wish I had it stitched. I pulled colors for it and only needed a couple.

I bought this pattern off Etsy. Happily, it only needs DMC, and I had all the colors I needed. I plan to modify this and not stitch the outer floral border.

I also pulled this…It was a freebie from Glory Bee. You can find the freebie HERE. I looked and looked for a better version of the chart, but didn’t find any.

I printed this years ago when I first started stitching. I always loved it. The colors were pretty bright, so I pulled some duller ones…although they are still quite bright. This should stitch up quickly.

I had watched several flosstubes and two different flosstubers were stitching this, April Word Play. I’ve had the chart for a couple of years. I have always loved it. These are a 12-month series. I like that idea, but I never change my decor that often. This one is the April one. I plan on changing the word April to Spring. Then I can keep it out all spring. I have an August one I’d like to stitch too…and a February one.

I think it will stitch up pretty fast (minus all the color changes), so I kitted that up too. I ended up needing a couple of flosses for this, and I’ll pick them up tomorrow.

I know I won’t be able to get to all of this at once…and that’s okay. If they don’t get done this year, I’ll try for next year. I’m just happy I’ll be picking up the flosses, so I have them and can start any of these at any time. I also know that I hate paying for postage. Picking up the flosses tomorrow will save me postage later.

I’m hoping to start the freebie with the tulips and the word Spring on it today. Then I think I’ll do the Word Play next. We’ll see. Something from market might pull me away from it all!
