Kitchen Update

Last week was rainy here.  We’ve been on the carpenter’s list to finish up the cabinet trim but were told we’d have to wait until it was rainy.  I shouldn’t have been surprised to see the workers but I was.

Previously the cabinets looked like this…

There was no trim at the top…now there is.

It’s much nicer with much more of a finished look.

I sure am happy with them.

I do have to say I need to contact the cabinet makers though.  I have one cabinet door that needs attention.  It won’t completely close.  UGH.  It’s likely just an easy fix for them but I would like it fixed.

Looking back at choices we made in regards to how the kitchen looks, I have to say I am completely happy with the kitchen.  There isn’t a think I would change.  Remember back when I wasn’t sure how I felt about the red counters….I love them.  I wouldn’t do anything different.

Someone stopped over the other day and her comment was, “That’s a kitchen I could love!”  I said, “Trust me, I do!”

I know it’s not everyone’s ideal but I sure love it!

We still have trim that needs to go in the windows and doorways.  We still have baseboard trim that needs to go up too.  I’m guessing that will be a job for next winter….I’m okay with that.
