Last Saturday Kelli and I went to the NE Iowa Women of the ELCA convention so Kelli could receive the scholarship they gifted her.
The convention was held at Wartburg College and the auditorium where the ceremony was held was decorated with quilts. Â The quilts were all under glass so the pictures aren’t the best but you can enjoyed them none the less.
We especially liked this one below and would love to make a large version someday.
Most were hand quilted with a big stitch. Â Oh I want to keep learning to do that better. Â I love the wavy stitching on the straight design.
Seeing these made Kelli and I remember how much we love solids.
The displays were so tastefully done.
They had a couple other none quilt projects we liked too…this hooked rug….
…and this that I believe was knitted or crocheted.
All were wonderful. Â Not only was Kelli blessed with a scholarship, we also enjoyed some wonderful pieces of art.
Congratulations, Kelli!
I like the piece with all the scenes….the covered wagon, etc.
Congratulations! What is Kelli studying?
Congratulations on receiving the scholarship, Kelli.
Just wonderful all around, quilts and scholarship
Congrats to Kelli! And I love the quilts. I think the Bear Paw was my favorite. Love the dark background on it.
