Kansas City Star Joins the C&T Family

I know many of you were curious about previous posts we have done telling about the joining of Kansas City Star and C&T Publishing.  We promised we would share the official announcement with you once we got it.  Here is a copy of the official news release from C&T Publishing.

C&T Publishing

Hello from  C&T Publishing! We know many of you have been waiting patiently for this moment, and we are thrilled to be able to announce today that Kansas City Star Quilts is officially joining the C&T family as an imprint. Beginning on July 10, 2015, C&T will be publishing and distributing the Kansas City Star Quilts, My Stars, and Star Stitch imprints.

We think that Kansas City Star Quilts’ backlist of over 200 books in print will make a terrific and seamless addition to C&T’s own line of books. Looking forward to the next several months, C&T will be releasing 12 new titles, products, and more from esteemed KCSQ authors: Carl Hentsch, Diana Richards & Jan McGrath, Trisch Price, Edie McGinnis, Carolyn Cullinan McCormick, Shelly Pagliai, Sarah Maxwell & Dolores Smith, Black Bird Designs, Bonnie Hunter, and Yellow Creek authors Jill Shaulis & Vicki Olsen.

C&T Publishing has been partnering with the most influential names in quilting to create exceptional books and products for more than 30 years. Kansas City Star Quilts embodies what we value: technical accuracy, celebrating the history and fun of quilting, and staying on top of the trends.

“The Kansas City Star Quilts list dovetails perfectly with our existing imprints of Stash Books and FunStitch Studio, as well as C&T’s main list. Their authors are leaders in their fields and we are proud to carry on the historical traditions started in 1928. And yes, we will continue to bring you Mrs. Bobbins, a favorite of KCSQ blog and Facebook followers,” says C&T Publishing CEO Todd Hensley.

Kansas City Star Quilts books and products will soon be available at  ctpub.com, and at fabric retailers and book stores worldwide. Expect a follow-up email as soon as you are able to shop KCSQ products on our site.

We are so pleased to be able to carry on the long, proud tradition of Kansas City Star Quilts in representing and working with such wonderful authors!
