It’s Official: We Own a House

What’s a house closing without a picture by the sold sign??  We signed papers tonight and the house is ours.

SoldSign-1

So let the work begin!!!  Boy I wish it could happen fast.  Hubby and I have spent the day asking who do we call first…the electrician, carpenter, plumber, cement contractors??  We also started making a list of what we need to buy at Menards.  All of the Lowe’s, Menards and Home Depots are an hour away from our house so we are making a list to take with to Buck and Jen’s wedding.  Hopefully we’ll be able to stop and pick up some of the things we need on Sunday before we come home.

By the way, the house next door is available.  Anyone want to come be my neighbor??  Actually there are several houses for sale in Waucoma.  You can see them listed with our realtor here.   Here’s another house available in Waucoma.  You can see by the quality of homes for sale that Waucoma isn’t a town for the rich or wealthy.

Let’s just hope that a year from now, we’ll be ready to move in.  Our current goal to be moved in by is Christmas 2014…but a girl can wish for an earlier date..RIGHT??

Congratulations, it’s a cute house and will be lovely once you get all your renovations done! Be nice to have a project to occupy yourself with in case of any empty nest sadness now too!

Congratulations! Wishing you all the best (and LOTS of patience) as you move forward with the renovations!

  5. Congratulations! So happy for you both. Enjoy the journey that is to come because the prize will be the finished house. I love old houses. They have so much character.

  6. Congrats and how exciting! Love the outside of the house and the inside is going to be wonderful when you get it finished ….. can’t wait to see pics of your progess!

  7. Congratulations! The time will speed by and before you know it, a year will have passed.
Good luck with all your renovations.

  8. Congrats! You’ll reach your spending “limit” waaaay before your move-in date, I assure you! We went from our 400 square foot camper to a house, and I honestly hated every minute of it! I’ve never, EVER spent that much money all at once before (other than on a car or another home), and it was literally sickening. We’d love to come up there and be your neighbor, but gosh, girlfriend, you have some of that white stuff piled up on the ground…that’s just not something we can deal with anymore…sorry.

You’ll have fun designing tho, and I can’t wait to see your WIP shots!
