It’s Official…I can tell the secret.

For the last month or so I have been sewing like crazy….My email box has been on overload and honestly, my brain has been on overload too!  Here’s why…

AccuQuilt contacted me and asked if I would be interested in designing a few patterns for them.  I, of course, said yes.  I’m starting off with something super easy and something free!  Seasonal Placemats…

SeasonalPlacemats

The thing I like about these is that they can be modified to fit any occasion.  The pattern is over at AccuQuilt’s website.  This pattern is available for free.

There are two more patterns over at Accuquilt’s website…You can check them out here….

I never realized how hard pattern writing is….I have read, read and reread patterns thinking they were just right and then…a typo… a spacing adjustment…a font adjustment….  AH!!!!!  Let’s just say I have a totally new respect for pattern designers.

Keep watching for new patterns…there’s more to come.  Remember all that sewing I’ve been doing last week? All four of those are patterns for Christmas projects for AccuQuilt.  They’ll be available in a couple weeks.  I’m not a big “decorate for Christmas” girl but these projects turned out cute…I’ll show those to you in a couple weeks once they are released.  It’s amazing….I went 25 years without a Christmas tree skirt…and this year, I sewed two!

In between those projects I am still leader and ending with my tumbler blocks…. Oh…they are looking nice.  I keep telling myself, one more row….one more row.

  1. yay for you! I know that pattern desiging is so much harder than it looks! Congrats on a job well done. I just love all of Accuquilt’s great products and how they involve so many great quilters in the process.

  2. Dear Jo, I like to see your blog because it’s very nice. With those patterns, maybe one day I’ll try to do something! Have a good day!xoxo from Mexico!

  3. Congrats!! These are cute. Know what you mean about writing patterns – it’s really time consuming – not to mention how many times you print them out before you discover another fix is needed. (How many trees did I use in this process?) Keep up the good work!
