It’s My Birthday!!

My kids have been encouraging me to take the day off.  I thought about it but then I had a couple of people worried and emailed me wondering if I was okay…or if Gannon was okay as I took off the morning post.

I don’t want anyone to worry so…I am popping in long enough to add a couple of photos here.

Here’s a baby picture.  I’m guessing this was likely from my baptism.  My Dad is holding me.  I’d have been about three months old.

Here is another picture.  I’m guessing this might be… from the same day.  This is my dad with my sister Judy and me.  She was almost 17 at the time this picture was taken.

Here is a picture taken a couple of months later.  This one left to right is my brothers, Jay, Jule, and Jim.  I’m in the middle…I’m guessing I’m about 6 months old.

That’s me as a baby…I’m the last baby in the family so that made me the spoiled momma’s girl.

I’ve already gotten many birthday wishes…thanks so much for them.  I think the family that lives here in town is taking me out for supper tonight.  That’s perfect!!

Happily, I went to the doctor yesterday and got some meds for a sinus infection.  I’m starting to feel a lot better!!  That’s about the best birthday present….besides Gannon being all better.  That is even a little better.  He got his pump to help with feeds and he met with a speech therapy person and she’ll be helping him learn to swallow again…all steps in the right direction!!

  9. Happy Birthday, Jo! Here is the most powerful prayer in Scripture. Everyone should have these words spoken over them at least once a year! Many blessings to you!

    Numbers 6:24-26
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

  19. Happy Birthday. Happy to read that Gannon has his feeding pump. He will be happy to get back to school after the New Year. Or will he be able to see his friends for a day or two before Christmas?
A get well gift is in the mail for Gannon.

  20. Happy Birthday, Jo, and many happy and healthy more to come! It’s so good to read that Gannon is improving. I’ve been keeping DH informed of Gannon’s trials, and we’ve both been so sad. But progress is great, and we’re cheering in Utah!! xo

  21. Happy birthday Jo! I’ve been hoping and praying for you and all your extended family! Would Kalissa consider a wedge pillow for Gannon to sleep on? People with GERD and lung disease and others sleep on them at night to prevent aspiration. Also lung patients are told to sleep on their left side on these pillows to further prevent aspiration. The right lung bronchus leads straight to the right lung which causes pneumonia but the left bronchus has a little bit of a space before things can be aspirated. The whole sleep pillow and left side sleeping position takes a bit to get use. Maybe might help, maybe not, maybe worth a try.
I’m so sorry Gannon, Karissa and the whole family are struggling. I’ll continue to keep you all in my prayers.

  28. Happy Birthday Jo. I love your teachings. I don’t do cross stitch but use to. I use to crochet. I’m trying to cross stitch again. My hands can’t handle crochet. I’m a quilter and have been collecting men’s shirts and love Bonnie Hunter. I feel finding your channel is my very favorite thing this year
