A guest post from Kayla…
I know Mom’s sweet readers love volunteering and some of them love to crochet- so I thought I’d drop in and share a recent endeavor of mine- Stitchy Lit.
Stitchy Lit combines two of my favorite things- crochet and children’s literature. I’ve been creating crochet patterns for items that are perfect for sharing with your favorite teacher, childcare provider, or library. I just launched my website last week and have slowly been making the patterns available.
Like this itsy bitsy spider puppet…
He “walks” on two fingers.
And these five little monkey puppets…
Some of the patterns will be for sale (About $3) and some will be free. It’s just an itty bitty baby business at this point, but I’d love you to join me as it grows. You can follow along however you like best:
Facebook – Instagram – Ravelry – Email Updates – Teachers Pay Teachers
Next up is an octopus finger puppet and them I’m on to all things wintery. The nephews are big fans of Pete the Cat… Maybe I’ll get him figured out before Christmas.
If you end up making things from my patterns be sure to contact me or tag me on social media!
Love your ideas!!!
These are all spectacular!! Loving these ideas a lot!!!
Those are adorable!
Great ideas. I teach Children’s Literature to future teachers, I love it when someone acknowledges its value!
Well done! Might I suggest a very hungry Caterpillar? I’m terrible at creating patterns, but I can follow someone else’s lol
Very creative!
What a great idea to add to a child favorite book. Your five little monkeys are super cute.
