I’ve told you before that I don’t really use recipes and make things up on the fly as I go. Â People always ask how I get so much done…one thing I rarely do is look up recipes. Â I use my kitchen as a place to conduct experiments with cooking. Â This is another of those recipes. Â It was an experiment that turned out tasty.
I made this in my  Instant Pot.  I’m sure it could be replicated without one as well.
I put four large chicken breast pieces into the Instant Pot.  Then I added these ingredients….
1 cup of milk
1 diced onion
1 cup of sour cream
1 can of cream of chicken
8 oz of cream cheese
1 Tablespoon of garlic powder
1 Tablespoon of onion powder
I also added a little bit of pepper. Â We aren’t big on salt so I didn’t add any…you might want to.
I closed the lid, turned the steam closure to closed and pushed the meat setting.
Once it was done, I took the chicken out. Â Then I put my immersion blender into the pot and mixed. Â The cream cheese wasn’t completely smooth and mixed. Â The immersion blender took care of that. Â It also helps to disguise the onions…my childcare kiddos don’t like them.
I boiled the Alfredo noodles while it was cooking. Â We typically serve the noodles and then spoon the sauce over. Â Add a shake or two of Parmesan cheese and it was perfect. See?
I had forgotten to take pictures of it the day we originally had it with garlic toast from the Philips XL Airfryer…this was the next day as leftovers.  It was even better the next day.  What is it about some foods that are better the next day?  Soup and chili are definitely better the next day!!
I am getting in a bit of a habit of putting the needed ingredients into the  Instant Pot over nap time.  Then once the kids are gone from childcare I hit the cook buttons and go off and walk Ruby.  Once I am back, supper is ready.  The kitchen didn’t get heated up.  I didn’t slave over a meal….PERFECT!!
I can’t tell you how much I love the Instant Pot.  It really makes my life easier..and tastier!!
Isn’t it great when making the meal is so easy. Chicken Alfredo is one of Gene Anne’s favorites!
My mom brought me an instapot, but I haven’t made time to experiment yet. Looks like I could make more sewing time if I figured it out.
I love mine too!! Everything is so quick and easy!!
That sounds so good, but hubby only likes red sauces! =(
I don’t have an Insta-pot but I have been using a stove top pressure cooker for years, and I love it! Those meals that usually take hours to make can be made in under an hour. I also have an electric pressure cooker but I made the mistake of getting a smaller one that doesn’t work for a lot of my recipes that have the entire meal in it. This is one that is the perfect size for it and I will be giving it a try! Can’t wait to try it as well as your french bread recipe!
