In the Mail

My mailbox has been a fun place destination.

This box of goodies came shortly before we hosted Kalissa’s bridal shower at our house.  I was so excited to see all the goodies.

There were toys and books for the kiddos.  There were two charity quilt tops and doll patterns.  There was also an awesome fabric panel that a map of the United States on it.  I had been wanting a big map of the US as we’ll use it often as a reference for the kiddos.

I loved it all…In the scuttle of getting ready for the shower the box got taken up to the sewing room as the the charity quilt tops were on top of the goodies and my helper just assumed the box was filled with quilting things.

Over the weekend I decided to loaded a charity top onto the frame and was excited all over again….I found the goodies again.  The kids have been loving all the new goodies and I’ve been reading doll patterns at bedtime and I’ve been reading the books to the kids.  It’s been a fun time.  The lady bug book has quickly become their favorite-mine too!  I have one little one that just turned a year old.  She loves books and brings them to me to read to her all the time.  The ladybug book is always in the stack she brings me.

Thanks so much for thinking of us Julie…we are loving all the goodies.  The yellow quilt top is on the frame….I love it!!  I can’t wait to finish it up and show off your beautiful work.
