The other day I got a box in the mail…
When it arrived, it was in pretty tough shape.

I think a couple of the things got dirty…It will all be okay. We will just finish them and then wash them before donating. There was SO MUCH in this box that I shared with a local group I support.
Here Rosie is getting all the sniffs in. She loves when I get a box in the mail with goodies…it’s like a Christmas sniff fest for her!!

This was the start and pieces for a tumbler block quilt.

This started project included the strip pieces that are sewn together. I thought it would make a good community quilt, so I kept this. I’ll finish it.

I’m not sure if I’ll use a blue, white, or other color for the sashing. It will likely be whatever I have enough fabric of. HA!! I’m such a cheap quilter.
There was a partial amount of these block of the month patterns.

This was cute…The colors go so nice together.

Here were more orphan blocks and scrap pieces.

I kept this top…It’s one that came dirty. I’ll finish it, wash it, and then donate it. I think it’s really pretty with the soft colors. I typically don’t have a lot of soft colors so I’m hoping I can find something…Maybe one more border on this depending on the size. I’llworry about it when I pull it out again.

This was another quilt top that came dirty. I think the box just split enough that it ended up getting dirty on it. This one is so pretty. It’s pretty big as is, so an iron, a backing, and some time at the long arm is likely all it needs.

It’s been a bit since I got a box in the mail. It was fun to sort through, dream, and share. Many thanks to the anonymous person who sent this to me. I’m excited to dig in!!

Oh, Jo! I’m do happy for you! I sometimes got gifts like that when l lived in Houston. They made me so happy.
I love that last quilt, it’s very unusual. I don’t get boxes like that but I could definitely send several if I cleaned my sewing room !
How fun! This post reminds me of the ones you used to post when you received many boxes. There sure is many good projects going on here. It will be fun to them finished.
Great box!! I absolutely love the last quilt – what a great way to use the log cabin block to create the waves!! Will you custom quilt it or do E2E?
I haven’t decided. I’ll wait until it’s up higher in the queue.
That one in the soft colors is so striking! Really lovely. I can’t wait to see what you do with it.
Sad to say thats how almost $86 in postage is delivered….
Does anyone know where to find the pattern for that last one. Someone says it is log cabin blocks. ????
I was wondering the same thing. Love that layout!
I checked with Google Lens and it didn’t find anything similar. I think it’s a curved log cabin block. But — some blocks appear to be larger than others and some appear to be 3 colors.
I was surprised to see the amount of postage along with the fact that PO did not add more tape to the package. Maybe my PO is the only one who would do it.
I’m glad it made it to you. Looks like lots of goodies! So sad to see $85 for USPS postage. Maybe they sent it next day delivery? I have no connection to UPS, but I would bet they would have cost a lot less and probably arrived in better shape.
Nice orphan blocks & pretty quilt tops. They’ll all make someone very happy.
Love all the colors & designs. ♡
I love that Peter Rabbit fabric in the “extra” stack… have fun with your new quilt ideas, Jo!
I have found with my online businesses, that it is often cheaper to send 2 smaller boxes than 1 large box thru USPS.
