Two mail posts in one day!! Can you believe it? I got flooded with boxes at the end of last week. I didn’t expect that but it all has been processed and portioned out.
All I have left to do is write the blog post so here goes…
The first box of the bunch came from Florida. There were orphan blocks, a UFO, and a project bag filled with stickers. How fun. The project bag was really neat and I’ll likely use it for cross-stitching. So cute!!
Joyce sent a striped flannel quilt top.
Carolyn sent two boxes of sleepers. There were 100 in the box. Carolyn sent a note and said she was counting the sleepers as she packed the boxes.
When all she had made were in the box she realized she had 99 made. She thought she was so close to 100 that she went to the sewing machine and made one more so she could say she sent an even 100 gowns. SO FUN!!
Carolyn is so creative and does an AMAZING job at making these. When I sent fabric to Carolyn, I often think “how is she ever going to make this cute”…but she does every time. Isn’t this black and red check so cute??
This ribbed fabric I wasn’t sure about but Carolyn worked her magic and made these up beautifully.
If you have t-shirt weight fabric and want to part with it, Carolyn would be happy to take it off your hands. She is #35 on the Donation Page. Find the page HERE.
I’ve had some people ask if I’m going to stay involved with the Baby Kit collecting. YES. I will. Collecting supplies to make baby kits is near and dear to my heart.
These are things needed…
So if you have any items, they can be gently used, feel free to send them my way and I’ll pass them to my friend that puts the kids together. Items can be gently used. Flannel is needed to make the diapers and receiving blankets.
Carolyn also sent a bag of goodies for Kayla. Several of you have asked about donating doilies and linen to Kayla. She will happily accept them.
Ellie sent two boxes of goodies my way…
The kids were happy to get this box. They were excited about new markers.
Ann sent a box of goodies. There were lots of orphan blocks and pieces that I’m sure the Cresco ladies will enjoy.
Julie sent a wool quilt top.
The next box made its way here from Florida…There were two kits that will likely go on auction for the Good Deeds fund.
Ann Dee sent a package of fabric and a check to help with the postage fund. I’ve been shipping LOTS of packages over the last two weeks trying to get things cleaned out. The donation is so helpful.
The next box came from Pennsylvania. It was filled with orphan blocks, fabrics, UFOs, and quilt tops!!
Sue in PA sent a box that had some quilt tops in it. I immediately knew the perfect place for them and packaged them up. After they were all put away I realized that I forgot to take pictures. Sorry, Sue…these tops are perfect for the group I am sending them to. THANKS.
Joyce sent the next box. Goodies for the kiddos and some quilt pieces.
Patti sent the next quilt top…
Now the mail is all caught up. Whew. That’s always the best feeling!! I am doing good with getting the mail sorted…my inbox is still a mess. I have things sorted and I really need to get an auction put together.
I have a busy life through the end of the month. We have a wedding and all the family will be home next weekend. We’re all excited about it. Then the next weekend I have something going on too…plus two days of doctor appointments. I don’t want to wish my life away but I will admit that I’m looking forward to November. I’ll should be able to get an auction done then.
