The wedding quilt for my niece is loaded and I’m going….
I am hoping tonight I can make even more progress. Â I like the simple look..so far so good.
I’m starting to think about binding…Scrappy…or maybe some to match the backing. Â I have enough of the backing fabric so that might be the winner.
Tonight’s plans are to work on this and my weekend goal is to have it all bound and finished by Sunday night. Â So how about you? Â Do you have weekend sewing plans?
Yes, planning to sew this weekend since I’m getting the needle fever again. Lost it for a couple of months. Going to a housewarming tomorrow evening for a young friend, so am making her a couple of reusable grocery bags and putting in the makin’s for Taco Soup along with recipe. So excited to get back at my machine!
Our local quilt show is on so will be busy with that
Oh, yes. I’m quilting Nifty Thrifty. I’d like to have it finished to take when I go see Bonnie on Sunday. Now, whether it will be bound or not is a different question. I haven’t figured out what I’m going to bind it with.
I’m working on Bonnie Hunter’s Pineapple Blossom quilt, just a lap size, 2 1/2″ strips, so the blocks finish at 12”. Big pieces, big blocks, I’m hoping I can get most of them finished this weekend. Assembling the top (sashing, cornerstones, borders?), that’s another story!
Your quilt is looking good! I am teaching a machine quilting class to 20 gals tomorrow. Happy Quilting!
I’m hoping (okay, I should say I’m PLANNING – that’s more proactive-sounding) to spend a very significant part of the weekend quilting. I’d like to make some major progress on BKH’s Grand Illusion Mystery, and I’ll use another quilt as my leader ender for it. Plus I’d like to get some fat quarters sandwiched up for FMQ practice.
I’m planning on going shopping at JoAnn’s to see the new items they now sell after hubby & I go to the theater. This I have planned well as when he is with me he insists on paying out of his fun money! So it’ll be a win win situation for me tomorrow. A free movie and free shopping! Yes I am grinning!
