I got a notice in my email that Ila was sending me a box. I get a little gitty when I see one of those email notices especially when she doesn’t send me an email with it to tell me what it is!! I always wonder….fabric, a treasured something, a box of fruit. I never know what it will be when it comes from Ila!!
This box came and it was something she’s never sent before. A three ring binder full of quilting templates!

I tried a Winding Ways in my pre-double wedding ring days and did TERRIBLE with it. I can try again!!

Lots of scraps in the small bag and look POLKA DOTS. Ila does love me!! There’s quite a bit of the shirting fabric. That’s awesome. Kelli has been looking for some.
I’ve been thinking of all of the templates. Obviously I can’t use them all at once. If there is one that someone would like to borrow…I’d be fine with that. We can do a lending library if anyone is interested.
Thanks so much Ila. I’ve been wanting to challenge myself and make a few more difficult quilts. These templates will really help me meet that goal!!

What a generous gift!! Thanks for offering a lending library for these templates. Winding Ways was deemed my “lifetime project” years ago. Honestly, I’m not sure I ever got beyond the fabric collection phase!!
Oh, I was just looking at the Wheel of Mystery templates!! A lending library would be fabulous…how about if the borrowers, when they return the templates to you, include the cost of shipping from you to them? That way you aren’t out $$$ and we don’t have to purchase the templates! Do my eyes deceive me?? Is the Wheel of Mystery the same template as the Winding Ways???
Yes Susan- Wheel of Mystery and Winding Ways are two different names for the same pattern. Hopefully the templates are for different size blocks!

Quilters never cease to amaze me with their generosity! What a great idea – the lending library. we all can’t afford to own every “cool tool” that is out there, so I think that is a great idea.
I have a box with some cut pieces for quilts, and other goodies including things for the little ones. I just need to know where to send it, if you could email me an address! There are also a couple of quilt tops from quite awhile ago that I finally decided to pass on since I will not be using them. Happy unpacking!
