If You’re Looking for Me

Hey All…I’ve had a whirlwind of a couple of days!!  They have been jammed packed of goodness.  So much has come about in the last few days that I can’t wait to tell you about but I’m still in the super busy mode so I’ll just give you a peek of part of the busyness.

I was on Youtube and watched this Lori Holt video…

and was so inspired.  She showed off her sewing room and I loved it!!  She had some ideas that would work for me and now I’m all about really fixing my sewing room.

I want it to be a happy place with plenty of good storage that will work for me.  Watching the video was just the inspiration that I needed to kick me into gear!!

So Wednesday ended up being a CRAZY day and one I will remember for the rest of my life…more on that to come!!  I can tell you that I got some things at the thrift store that are going to be things for my sewing room….

All were inspired by watching Lori’s video…and happily the thrift stores had exactly what I was looking for.  Just wait until you see what I have in mind!!  I am so excited and moving FULL SPEED AHEAD on it all.

In the late afternoon yesterday, I went to Kalissa’s and we had a big clean out session at her house…See??

It got so crazy that I was wearing a lampshade on my head!! Trust me…not from drinking to much…from being silly with Carver as we were working on the great Friedman garage cleanout.

This blog post is short as I’m busy getting things together for the big sewing room makeover.    If you want more on the story of yesterday, head over to Kalissa blog by following THIS LINK and you’ll read more about our crazy day!!  Oh, it was fun.  We were laughing and crying because we were laughing so much!  More to come….that’s for sure!!

  1. Lori Holt has been a huge inspiration for my sewing room. I was wondering how your room is coming along, then you posted a picture the other day of your 9 projects and I knew where you were. I’m glad you waited to do your reveal until you got just what you wanted. I read Kalissa’s post and it reminded me so much of me and my daughter. We are good for each other as we help determine what should or shouldn’t be kept. Mother/Daughter/Grandchildren time is the best!

  2. I love what Lori did with her space. Kinda gives me hope for my small room. I am excited to see what you do Jo! Can hardly wait.

  3. Thanks for posting the video of Lori Holts sewing room! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!!! I love to see people’s sewing rooms!!!

  4. Making another cup of coffee and I will watch the video. I look forward to seeing what you are going to do to your sewing space, your so clever with re making furniture. I read Kalissa post and it sounded like a fun filled positive day all around, purging can be so stress relieving.

  6. Hope you take a lot of before pictures so we can appreciate all the improvements. I am heading downstairs to my sewing area to try to clear off some horizontal surfaces. Fabric storage is a problem for me…awh, poor thing.
