Hubby’s Salsa Scheme

Sunday, my hubby and I were making salsa.  We had one batch done and wanted to start another, but there just wasn’t enough room in the kitchen.    

Hubby came up with a wonderful idea.  He got the turkey deep fat fryer equipment out and set it up outside.  He put the canner on the stand, fired it up and wa-la…. 


All of the heat stayed outside.  He tended the canner and I stayed in the house and started another batch of salsa.  It worked perfectly.  I have a glass top stove and it just doesn’t heat as hot as gas so this was quicker than usual too.  

I think we’ll have another batch of tomatoes ready for next weekend so he discovered this just in time.
