How it all works…and THANKS!!

Hey all..THANKS for the help in reaching my goal of having over 1000 Facebook followers!!

As part of the Beat the Winter Blues Blog Hop and Giveaway I encouraged people to help me reach the goal of having 1000 Facebook followers with the promise that if I reached,  I would up the anti and provide another prize for all of you win…well…here’s the prize.

CharmSchool

While I am here, I want to explain how blogging and getting items to giveaway works.  When I contact publishers and ask the to allow me to review their books, I often get questions like, how many twitter followers do you have?  Facebook followers? etc.   Companies want to invest their products in a environment that will give them the most exposure.  There is a “invisible line” at 1000 that makes a blogger more market worthy.  So thanks for helping me get there.

Hopefully that will help me be able to get lots more goodies to giveaway to all of you!!

You still have time to enter in the giveaway.  I’ll pick a winner on Friday.   Speaking of winners, the winner of the Marcus Brothers sampling of Judie Rothermel ’s new 25th Anniversary line..the winner is Bonnie Pfrimmer.

Finished with Judie Pack

  1. Congratulations on achieving 1000 followers. You write a very interesting blog. I look forward to reading about what you are making and what is happening at your house every day. Your giveaways are always of interest, but I’d read your blog even without them.

  2. Your blog is such an inspiration to me. I love how “real” it all is-family, happy times, sad times, life. Congratulations on 1000 followers! The Sugar Pop charm pack, oh how I wish (too late) that I had gotten some of it! Cute line. As for that puppy of yours, well too much is never enough. LOVE her!

  3. I enjoy your blog everyday – thank you. I just realized how to friend you on facebook, so now you have one more name to add to the count. keep up the good work!

  4. Jo, I really like following your blog, because I grew up on a farm, and still live on an acreage. Have fun with your sis and niece this weekend. I saw her in our little quilt group at her church last night. She adds a lot to our group. I like the pics of the barn quilts. That’s the most I’ve seen on one barn.

  5. Congratulations!!! Totally cool to get over that invisible line :) I love reading your blog even when I don’t comment on every one, I still read them! Thank you for all the great posts!!!

  6. Congrats on making 1000! I am glad to be one of a selected group. You are one of the most read blogs I check in on everyday.

  7. Congratulations on having so many followers..Thanks for the chance to win. love your blog. vickise at gmail dot com

  8. I read your blog daily. I enjoy how you explain things and the variety of subjects you talk about. Thanks, for the inspirations…I have finished a few of my projects and I am also working on losing 5 pounds and then I can start to lose the next 5. Small steps, but it seems more manageable.

  9. Grammar police. You mean “up the ante” not ” up the anti” . “Ante” is a poker term meaning to raise the stakes or increase the pay out. “Anti” just means against.
    I do like your quilts.

  10. I just love your blog for all the inspiration you give me. The quilts you make are just beautiful and the stories about your family are very cute. :)

  11. Congratulations on reaching 1000 followers on FB. That’s quite a milestone. You blog is always very interesting and diverse. I enjoy reading it everyday. I would love your blog even without prizes, but giveaways are a fun bonus. Thanks for all you do! Enjoy!!!

Well, hoop-de-doo and congrats on 1000 Facebook followers (I’m one of ’em)! You’re also one of my must-check blogs every day, just part of the regular routine to see what’s up. Thanks for the chance to win a prize – just an added bonus!

  13. Congratulations on hitting 1000. I am so glad I found your blog, it is always interesting. You have so much on the go and such a variety of stories, it is fun to follow along. I hope you keep on doing what you do, for as long as you enjoy it of course. Still enjoying using the shirt fabrics I bought from you at the yard sale. Pulled them out the other day to do the Sister’s Choice with Bonnie and thought “thanks Jo for so much variety”.

  14. Congratulations on reaching 1000 followers. I regularly read your blog and enjoy the “down home” stories of living life in the Iowa farmland. My dad was raised on a farm in Indiana and your blog brings back many memories of his life. Love to see the quilting, too!

Since I met you last summer, it is even more fun to read your blog! Your stories and photos are always interesting, especially the continuing ‘tails’ of Ruby. Thanks for the chance to win.
