From Kayla:
This New Year’s Day I found time to do some holiday baking with my “kids.”
Yup, I’m one of “those people” who spoils their pets endlessly.
I tried a new roll-out cookie recipe. Â I knew the dogs would love it because they were much more interested than usual in what I was baking.
Aren’t they adorable? They seem almost too good to eat. And they were. Â I took a big bite of the finished cookies and spit it back out.
But I still consider these cookies a success! Yes, I was purposely making dog treats. Â They have whole-food ingredients and no sweeteners, so I should have known better. Â It was easy to be fooled with how easily they rolled out and how golden and gingerbread-y they look.
You can follow this recipe to make a batch of your own. It’s great because I got my baking fix and have absolutely no temptation to eat the finished cookies!
Jo, where ever did you find that dog cookie cutter–it looks just like a Labrador. I might just have to make some of these for my boys and the princess. Thanks for sharing.
Oh, I love the snowy owl in the Christmas tree!
