Our family went to a waterpark on the 26th and 27th. We had so much fun but it’s left me a little behind.
We had a great time but between not being home to write blog posts…and picking up a foster puppy today, I didn’t have time to write a full blog post. So…I’m writing something quick and will tell you more about it in a later post.
Here my granddaughter Georgia is eating breakfast at the hotel. She was so excited and kept saying how fun it was to be on “holiday”. We were kind of confused. She kept saying “holiday” not vacation like the rest of us were.
Then she told me Peppa Pig goes on “holiday”. For those of you without littles in your life, Peppa Pig is a British kids show, and “going on Holiday” is apparently what Brits say.
I have another story to tell about Georgia’s antics that will have you in laughing and laughing…but I’ll save that for when I have more time to write.
Here’s part of the family… hanging out at the waterpark.
The best news of all that was that Gannon, my grandson, was feeling well enough to be at the waterpark with us. He did great and it was perfectly fine for him to swing with his tubie. He had a GREAT time.
I’ll tell you more soon. For now, I need to get the new puppy, Juno, settled and write the posts…
Oh and remember the Facebook/Youtube live is tonight at 7 pm central? I need to get the questions together on one paper.
It’s busy but I love it.
Thanks for understanding my need to make this a short post. I’ll chat more soon…I promise…and I will tell the Georgia story.
Well, I have to say that I just can’t imagine going to a water park now. It’s so darn cold here (and we don’t even have snow)! Is the air at the park heated? I assume the water is. Your weather is more severe, so I am sure the waterpark is somehow refreshing and nice and comfortable. Brrrrr.
Well done, Georgia. Of course she had gone away on holiday. Hope she enjoyed Christmas whilst she was on holiday. The American use of “holiday” for Christmas and “Vacation” for holiday is very confusing for us Brits!
Sometimes I would like to call a vacation a Holiday instead. Holiday sounds so much more special.
Linda: what is a “holiday” like Christmas called in England?
I am glad you were able to go and enjoy some relaxing time. I know quilting is relaxing, but sometimes one needs to get away from the daily grind. However, when I go somewhere, I always bring something to work on. I love it when kids incorporate their imagination with their everyday experience, way to go Georgia. I am glad to see Gannon is having fun. My prayers are with Gannon and everyone.
I love the quilts. I love the idea of doing a log cabin border on a quilt. I will definitely write that down as an idea for a quilt.
Thanks to my great granddaughter. I know who Preppa Pig. And their whole family. I understand why Georgia loves them.
When my grandson was learning to talk he spoke with a British accent. It was from watching Peppa Pig. It was so cute.
