When Hubby and I ventured to Marion, Iowa, a couple weeks ago we stopped at an antique shop and I had to purchase this little Valentine.
I just love old Valentines. It says, “The long and short of it is, I want you for my Valentine”. I could sit with a box of old Valentines and read them forever. I love the illustrations and the cute little sayings. They are SO much cuter than the cartoon ones that are out now days.
Onto the winner of the book, Strip-Smart Quilts: 16 Designs from One Easy Technique (That Patchwork Place) written by Kathy Brown and donated by Martingale and Company is…
#69 Sharron. Congrats Sharron.
Check out the current “Try it on Tuesday” post where I am giving away Sewline Fabric Pencils.

I totally agree! I have a collection of Valentines from the 60’s and 70’s! Love the character’s rosey cheeks and sweet looks. Happy Valentines Day Jo :)
Happy Valentine’s Day Jo and to all the readers! I too agree that the old valentines had way more charm!
When I was little, I loved Valentines Day, loved signing the valentines and handing them out and receiving them. My how time goes by.. Feels good to remember old times and traditions!
Congratulations to Sharon! I liked the book so much, I just had to buy one along with the handy-dandy ruler. The book and ruler came in the UPS delivery today.
