Hanging out at the hotel

Hubby had a beef conference in Dubuque, Iowa, and I decided to tag along with him.  Even though I am NOT a shopper, I spent yesterday a shopping.  I am so glad I did.  I hit Yonkers sale rack and purchased a dress for Buck and Jen’s wedding in August!!  Score!!

This morning I’m hanging out in the hotel stitching…

I am working on our wool block of the month. I know many of you expected it to be up today. After some deliberation my daughter Kelli and I decided it might be best not to host the parade on the first of the month but rather the first Thursday of the month.  The first of the month is so busy in blog land.

If you want to get a head start you can see the next block I am working on and that would be blocked number 5.  Stop backs next Thursday and we will have the parade then. If you are still working on a block you have a few more days to finish it.

Kelli will be posting details tomorrow on how to send your block in.

I am also trimming blocks and watching Downton Abbey on my Kindle.

… And hubby thought I would be bored!!

Jo, What is the name of the quilt block you are trimming in the second picture? I have seen it on Bonnie Hunter’s blog, too, but for the life of me, I can’t recall the name. It is bea-u-ti-mus!
