I opened my mail and saw this…
It was a card and note from Sarah Wright. Â I had met Sarah at the Bonnie Hunter Retreat in Moline in 2012. Â Sarah sent the card to cheer us all on in completing a Bonnie UFO before the new mystery starts. Â It was such a cute thought and I so appreciate it.
Not only has it made me want to work on my current UFO but also the ones I started at the retreat that aren’t finished….Smith Mountain Morning and Virginia Bound. Â As soon as I am done with Stars Over Shallotte I think I am going to dive into one of them…oh wait, I have more deadline quilts…no matter, I am going to squeeze in a little me time sewing!!
So those of you who went to the 2012 retreat with Bonnie Hunter, how are you coming along?? Â Do you have your projects done?
Thanks Sarah…I loved getting good mail in the box-and I’m hanging the picture by my sewing machine as a reminder to keep on sewing!!
What a thoughtful note. I think I have the same problem as you, Jo. I have the same 2 quilts still unfinished. Like you said, other things got in the way. I need some serious sew time. Have a quilty day!
That’s an adorable card! Isn’t it delightful to be gifted with such personal surprises?
Finally a day off so time to get my butt into my sewing room. I haven’t gotten as much done lately as I want to. Love the card, so thoughtful.
