Fun Ideas from Moline…Rotary Cutter Case

This idea for a rotary cutter case comes from June of Mississippi Valley Quilters….It’s one of those “why didn’t I think of that ideas”.

The quilt guild there used these as favors. Ā Take a hot pad (preferablyĀ one with a holder loop in the center) from the Dollar Store. Ā Decorate one half of it. Ā Here June has a some leaves, a yo-yo and a button. Ā Secure them in place. Ā Fold the hot pad in half. Ā Stitch from the fold, around the corner and up to the next corner leaving an opening at the top. Ā You can slide your rotary cutter or even a pair of glasses right in and you have a great case.

It’s totally cute and how easy was that!?!?! Ā THANKS for sharing June!!

I know guilds are always looking for favors and quick ideas. Ā If you have one you’d like to share, drop me a note at rogjok@iowatelecom.net Ā and I’ll put it here on the blog for everyone to see.

  1. I really love this idea! What a great time saver when churning out lots of small things for gifts! I can see this for Christmas already! :-) Just about everyone in my family and extended family wears glasses, and the few that don’t can use them as sunnies cases or something. (We live in AZ, so sunnies are a year round part of the wardrobe!) :-) Thanks for the great idea! I’m gonna run with it! :-)
