From My Inbox…

Over the last few months, I let my email get a bit away from me. It’s not terrible like it once was…but it is above the amount of emails I want in my inbox. I’m sharing a few of them with you…

Holly sent me a picture of her version of the PfeffernĂĽsse quilt. It looks great. I love it!!

I found an email with a community quilt from Joey…she writes:
Here is another wonderful scrappy quilt donated by Kenda T in WI. Backing from the donated pieces.

The center of this was donated by Rebecca B in WI. It was a bit small so I string pieced the border, found a piece for the backing in my stash, quilted & bound it. I love how it came together

That’s it for now,  I have several tops from Sylvia that I need to make backings for… Thanks for the roll of batting..

So pretty. Thanks for sharing this.

From Tracy:
I am sending you a picture of my newly finished Consider the Lilies piece.

I started stitching this with you in 08/2023.  You, Kelli and Kayla were going to stitch it as a page-a-month stitch a long.  I did put it down for a few other projects, including the Fabulous Houses by Cottage Garden Samplings, and a few other smalls.  I stitched mine from the top down, and thought I was doing well until I hit the house, all those bricks took quite a while.  I am a mostly monogamous stitcher, but I think that I am done with huge samplers for a while :).

Oh my goodness, what an inspiration for me to jump back on board. I love it.

From Pat: After I said I have trouble finding paper for paper piecing Pat wrote:

  1. Consider the Lilies is beautiful, Tracy! The quilts are so pretty and Joey did a great job finishing the little quilt. I like the colorful border.

  2. Tracy, you did a great job finishing your stitchery. I copied the links for the paper, it is much cheaper than Amazon. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Gloria from CC

Consider the Lilies is spectacular! I have found that used dryer sheets are great for string piecing and you don’t have to remove it. You are limited in block size but so far this has not been a problem.
