Friday Finish: Little Twister

Way back in Memorial Day of 2011, Kelli and I had a sewing day making Little Twister projects.  She took hers home with the intention of quilting it on her domestic machine.  It didn’t happen.

Finally at Christmas break I told her I had a few small projects I was going to load onto the quilting machine and that she should bring hers and I’d machine quilt them all at once.  I didn’t get around to until about a month ago.  I intended on sending it home with her unbound but then I knew better…she’d never bind it.  So I just did.

Finally Kelli’s is finished.

I went back through the archives of the blog and found the post from the day we made them…It explains the pattern and instructions and there’s a picture of our beagle Gracie.  Oh..some days, I still miss her.  You can find all that by following this link.

I have to confess…I actually like binding and finishing projects.  Don’t tell Kelli that though.

Today, we are hooking up with……Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Link a Finish Friday, Freedom Fridays, and Crazy Mom Quilts.

  1. Wow, I was inspired when I saw your little Twisters back then and eventually I made my own (in 2012). But I hadn’t realized that Kelli hadn’t quilted hers yet. It was fun to revisit the inspiration you guys shared back then and I’m glad you and Kelli were able to team up to finish hers.
