This finish is actually Kelli’s finish. It’s one that she brought hoping I would quilt for her….and being the nice mom I am, I did. I bound it too. Can you see a pattern emerging?? It seems I am finishing a lot of projects for her.
This is a pattern from Nine-Patch Gatheringsby Lisa Bongean of Primitive Gatherings. There are lots of nine patch projects in the book and honestly, I’d love to get some of them..someday.
I spent yesterday doing a little house cleaning. The kids are coming home this weekend. We get together on Palm Sunday with them so they can spend actual Easter with their in-laws. So far, that has worked really well for us. The only holiday that we actually get together on the actual holiday is Thanksgiving. The rest of the holidays we get together but not on the actual date.
Here’s my dining room table all out and big with all the leaves. The room is WAY to small for it but it’s what we make due with. As I was pulling out the leaves I kept thinking the next big holiday we get together and have the big table out for is Thanksgiving…hopefully we’ll be in the other house by then. In that house, the table can stay up with all the leaves in all the time. What a treat that will be.
Back to the quilt…I did a stipple…something close and small. You can see it best on the back. You can also see what my machine binding looks like from the back too.
Today, we are hooking up with……Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Link a Finish Friday, Freedom Fridays, and Crazy Mom Quilts.
I love this little quilt!! And I love the quilting on it! Perfect!! Have a lovely weekend!

Would you like to adopt a 66 old lady who can’t seem to get the quilting and the binding done in a timely manner? Surely Kelli wouldn’t mind sharing her mom who does such beautiful finishing of her quilts!
I have to say that the cabinet looks awesome! I’m glad your husband found it for you. And, now you are one more step to finishing the design of the kitchen. Joyce B.
Lovely little quilt!
You are a nice mom! Nice quilting work. I hope to quilt like that some day!
