I made about three quilts with Moda’s Oz fabric line.  I made this one as a graduation present,  another graduation present, a baby quilt and a Schibble all from that same fabric line.  I even made a ponytail holder with the slivers of left over fabric from the line.  I loved that fabric line but by the time I was done with those projects, I was ready to be done with it.  I handed my  left overs off to Kelli who had some of her own of the Oz fabric line.  She made this quilt.
I asked her what pattern she used and of course, she just whipped it up.  I did the quilting.  I used Maxi-Lock® Swirl – Variegated Thread 3,000 yds – #51 Orange Creamsicle.  It variegates between yellows and oranges so I thought it would look nice on the quilt.  I free handed some big flowers in the setting triangles.  The center portion is just a micro stipple.
Lucky for you, I asked Kelli if she would write up the pattern and she said she would get to it next week. Â So stop back then.
Now I think this really truly is the last of the Oz fabric that we have….I still love the fabric though….
In case you missed it, there is a giveaway going on here.
Today, we are hooking up with……Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Link a Finish Friday, House of Hepworth’s,  Freedom Fridays and Crazy Mom Quilts.
It looks great! I love your flowers in the side setting triangles….I’ll have to try those. :)
Also there is no link to Kelli’s pattern? Or I missed it?
Your free hand flowers are gorgeous!!! Wonderful quilt!
I like that quilt from the fabrics, to the pattern to the quilting. Thanks for sharing.
I love the quilt can’t wait to see the pattern.
Awesome and I love your flowers in the setting trianges. Fabric is very pretty but I do the same, I get done with the line by the end of one project let alone three!!
Love it!
What a great quilt! It is so nice that Kelli is sharing the pattern.
I love the quilting! awesome. I just bought a used Nolting, from a dealer. I’m having issues w it so I’m going to opt to get a newer used for demo’s machine. I’ve been quilting w a Pfaff grand quilter for yrs, so I’m looking froward to doing some bigger fancier designs.
Nice quilt, nice colors, nice quilting pattern! Love the flowers in the setting triangles! You have really advanced in your machine quilting through the years…and with the new machine! You’re an inspiration to me. Thanks!
Love this quilt!
Very nice quilt. Such a fun pattern and great quilting.
What a gorgeous quilt! I can’t wait to see the pattern. Whoop whoop, Kelli!!
Love the quilt and the fabric. And those flowers are to die for. Great job all around.
What a beautiful quilt. I’m new to this game, I’ve made a couple of lap sized quilts. I don’t have a quilting machine, so I would hand tie (correct term?) it. Keeping this page, thanks
