I so wanted to get several quilts finished this week for charity but even with the help of finished quilt tops, I could’t manage it. Â I did get this one completely finished.
The quilt top and backing were donated by Pam. Â She is the one who has donated so many of the recent charity tops that I have finished.
This one is going out to the tornado victims. Â (to find out where to donate check out this link) Â I have another quilt that is quilted and hopefully when things calm down here, I’ll be that bound and that too will be donated.
Several of the prints in the fabric had a leaf design so I decided to go with a leaf motif for the quilting design. Â The thread I used was a variegated pastel on the top and a variegated teal on the back. Â It made a fun look that I am sure the recipient will love.
This one was lots of fun to quilt..minus the thread breaking issue that I finally resolved.
As always, if you have a quilt top you’d like to donate, I will gladly machine quilt it and pass it along. Â Right now I have about eight here that need to be finished and donated. Â Hopefully next week, I can do a couple more…slow and steady….slow and steady..helping one person at a time.
Today, we are hooking up with……Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Link a Finish Friday, Freedom Fridays and Crazy Mom Quilts.
Thanks again, Jo, for volunteering to quilt our tops for charity. I love the leaf design that you chose for the quilting. It adds so much movement and interest to the quit. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family from our house.

Thank you for sharing my link for helping the Washington/Pekin Tornado victims. I am planning on quilting some quilts for those who would like to donate to the cause like you have been doing. Thanks for sharing your ideas how to help others. Quilters have big hearts.
Good to know that you will quilt tops for this cause. I will keep it in mind! That is a very pretty quilt with such soft, restful colors.
