We got another prodigal returned to us. This quilt was part of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Vol. 8 which was the Fall issue.
It is funny that just when we get that quilt back, it’s almost time for the new issue of Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks to be coming out. I have my advanced copy already as Kelli and I have a block featured in this new issue too.
Just like always, the crew over Quiltmaker has a fun blog hop scheduled for the preview of the magazine. Watch for that coming here and around blog land soon- April 28th through May 2nd. Then you can buy it on the new stand on May 5th.
Keep your eyes open because there will be LOTS of opportunities around blog land for you to win your own copy.
We’ll only be keeping this quilt for a bit. Kelli and I have plans to donate this one to a worth cause.
Today, we are hooking up with……Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Link a Finish Friday, Freedom Fridays, and Crazy Mom Quilts.

Hi Jo, I love the look of your sailor’s delight block quilt and am unable to find a copy of Quiltmaker vol.8 in the UK, would you be able to post a tutorial on this beautiful quilt block? Thanks, Debbie.
Such a beautiful quilt. You and Kelli seem to be doing an awful lot of deadline quilts lately. I remember a few months ago another one of your daughters gave you some flowers to congratulate you for something, I can’t help but wonder if some of these quilts are for your own book!
This is a striking quilt- I hadn’t seen it before. Congratulations on having a block in the new issue.
Such a beautiful quilt! Would you and Kelli consider giving it to Quilt of Valor? After the airing on TV by Brian Williams, the QOV foundation has received so many requests for our country’s combat and war veterans that they are currently 1,000 quilts behind. As a QOV volunteer, we are trying to fill these requests. Every quilts is wrapped around a veteran giving him/her a hug and thank you from a very grateful nation for their service.
