I have two tidbits of good information to share. Â First up…it’s Friday and we have a finished quilt. Â It’s a charity quilt and I think this is the last one I have here from Cindy. Â There are a few others left here for me to work on but I got all the way through the box Cindy sent.
This one is fun with all sorts of fabrics in it.
I just did a simple stipple on the quilt with a charcoal thread. Â It was real plain. Â I made that choice as the quilt is busy enough without even more busy quilting. Â Sometimes a simple stipple is a good thing. Â Ruby wasn’t too happy in these pictures. Â The rain had quit and I quickly went outside to snap the pictures. Â I forgot to bring a treat and wasn’t sure the showers would stay away long enough for me to run in, get the treat and then run back out to snap the pictures.
Don’t worry though…she did get a treat when we got in the house. Â Anyway, that’s the reason for her lack of perkiness.
Thanks so much for the quilts Cindy…I hope I did them justice. Â This quilt is the start of a new fresh stack. Â If someone hears of a place collecting quilts let me know. Â I want to ship out another bunch before we move.
Now onto the second portion of good news. Â Kelli and I want to treat you all with some free patterns. Â For the next few weeks-each Friday we will be featuring a new quilt with a printable pattern for you. Â So far we have two in the wings ready to be revealed and we are working on a few more so please stop back next week to get your free pattern. Â It’s a cute quilt, fast and quick too!!

Jo, you’re such a tease! I really like Chocolate Covered Cherries, so I can’t wait for more new quilts!
The wildfires in WA state have destroyed more than 300 homes. Jean Kester is collecting quilts for those affected by the disaster. You can check out her website http://layersofhopequilting911.blogspot.com/
This new charity is right in your own backyard, Jo. It’s called the Quilted Comfort project. Started by Brenda Riddle to give comfort to our senior citizens. Her website is brendariddle.blogspot.com. Since she is just getting this effort off the ground, I am sure she would appreciate any and all help. Thanks!
Love the quilt and I can tell by the look on Ruby’s face that you did something wrong. So glad you made it up to her later.
That quilt is wonderful – love it! How darn cute is Ruby as a quilt prop – glad she got her treat later!
