Family Get Together

The kids were home over Palm Sunday weekend, minus Kayla and her family. Kayla, unfortunately, ended up with Covid.

Jason, Kelli’s husband, had a death in his side of the family. His Grandma passed away. The wake was on Friday night, so Karl, Kalissa, the boys, and I all went to the wake on Friday night. On the way home, we picked up pizza. We got it from Two Trees in Ossian. They make great pizza. The pizza has a unique crust that we love. My favorite is the everything pizza…we got a Reuben and pepperoni pizza too.

The kids had a sleepover at my house…I love seeing the kids using my quilts!! The extra kiddo is Lindsay’s, Buck’s girlfriend’s son.

Speaking of Lindsay, she brought a beautiful bouquet of flowers!

My kids are so goofy when they get together. Here is Kalissa with Karl. I love that they can still act like kids when they are home.

We played some cards…did puzzles and played a board game.

Kelli and her family came in the afternoon on Saturday after the funeral. They stayed overnight on Saturday night.

Buck was on duty to help with a few jobs. He hung the television in my bedroom…

and put a new belt on my dryer…No more squeaking for me!!

The kids helped clean up under my willow tree…

Lilly taught the kids a new card game called Beat the Deck…

Everyone wanted to play…

I had to get a picture with my boyfriend, Eli.

Here are Georgia and Lucy playing Barbies…

Thanks for the dollhouse, Barb. They love it!!

I started out on Friday being good about taking pictures, and then I got busy and forgot. I didn’t get nearly enough pictures…but you get the idea. The kids had great cousin time, and the adults all had a good time too. For the record, Lindsay and I rocked as partners playing cards!!

I’m already looking forward to when we can all do it again.

  1. So many precious times! Memories, memories are made that will be cherished for years. As the grands get older it must be easier to be together – maybe still a little busy, but fun. So glad you had such a good time. A great picture of you and your boyfriend!

  2. I just love family get togethers like that. I miss that so much.
Prayers for Jason and his family.
    Love and prayers
