Doggie Do Bag and a Birthday…

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE GIVEAWAY HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR THIS PROJECT.  YOU CAN FIND THIS PATTERN ON MODA BAKE SHOP HERE.

If you are new to the blog, welcome.  We typically put up new blog post twice daily so there is always something new and fresh here.  We host lots of giveaways too.  Click HERE and see what’s new today…

Today I have a project featured on Moda Bake Shop….and today my oldest turned 24!  Both ideas are so hard to believe….

Here’s my project…

…a doggie do bag?  You might wonder, “What is a doggie do bag?”  Well if you want to know the whole story, you’ll have to head on over to Moda Bake Shop and read the story.

The little bag is made from Minick and Simpson’s newest line Charlevoix for Moda.  When I made the bag, I made mine using only the red strips in the collection.  You can easily make it using a variety of colors.  But me, I am a HUGE fan of red and black together.

Remember a few weeks ago I teased you with this little scrap pile…

WhatIamWorkingOn

Well, if you managed to continue reading through this whole post, you’ll see that I am teasing you with another little scrap pile.  It’s actually my leftovers from the Charlevoix honey bun along with fat quarters of two of the cuts.  It’s not a complete honey bun but there’s PLENTY left over for you to make your own Doggie Do bag…or make up bag….or junk bag….whatever you want to call it.

Leftovers

To be entered to win the Doggie Do leftovers, go over to Moda Bake Shop and leave a comment on the post featuring my project.  Then come back on Thursday to see if you are a winner…

When I do giveaways, I never require people to friend Jo’s Country Junction on facebook, follow my blog, add me to your blog roll or do any of those things….like me, the LAST thing you need in your life is any more junk…but those things are available if you’re looking for them and I’d be happy to have you tagging along with all the country life, quilting, mother of five, working from home, gardening, book reading, cooking, and all around drama, that I call my life.

…and for my daughter Kelli, who is celebrating her birthday today (and sharing her latest quilt with your here on the blog tomorrow)…thanks for being the guinea pig and letting your dad and I try our parenting skills out on you first.  We appreciate your tolerance.  Happy Birthday girlie girl.

  1. Love the bag. This is not going to be for the dogs but for my niece to hold all the little sample bottles of girly stuff she loves so much. What a fabulous idea. Thank you so much for sharing. And, Happy Birthday Kelli!

  2. I love this idea. I’m going to make it as a case for my take along projects to hold my tools – scissors, needles, thread, thimbles, etc. Thanks for a great project.
