Monday I lamented about my inability to be able to find matching border fabric for my quilt. I needed this fabric.
I had searched and searched on line. I had been to one quilt shop looking for it. No luck!
Monday afternoon I went to town and neither of the quilt shops had what I wanted. I ended up picking something I didn’t love but would work. When I got home from town I checked my email. There was a note from the gals at Forest Mills Quilt Shop in Postville, Iowa. They had read my blog post and they had some of the fabric on hand. WOW..that made my day!!
I told them to send me a yard and in today’s mail was this…
I was doing the happy dance. THANKS for making my day girls. This quilt has a long story to go with it (I’ll tell it another day) and I have wanted this quilt to be just perfect. Getting the right binding fabric has made that dream come true.
If you are ever in Postville, Iowa (well actually in the country a few miles from Postville as their shop is in the country) check out Forest Mills Quilt Shop. Carolyn and Diane are sisters who own the shop and they are awesome, helpful and very friendly. They have entertained my Hubby a time or two so that I could shop and I’m sure they’d entertain your hubby too.
I am off to bind my quilt. I have a busy rest of the month..and want to get this one done as it is my June UFO #6.
What a BeAuTiFuL quilt!!! I love it. Where would I find the pattern?
