Day #5 of the Country Girl Modern Blog Hop

Hop-hop-hopping along…. So far you should have met Mary from Country Threads, Michelle from Michelle’s Romantic Tangle, Julie for JulieK Quilts, and Judy at Patchwork Times.  All of these ladies have told you a little about our new quilt book Country Girl Modern.  Today we’re hopping over to Mary at Quilt Hollow.

Mary’s blog is another blog that I started our readying when I first discovered blogs.  I loved Mary’s blog.  I completely was in awe of all the amazing quilts she “frosts”.  If you don’t know…Mary is a long arm machine quilter by trade and boy oh boy is she ever a good one!  Just look at this quilt she’s currently working on.  Wonderful, right?

I know when we were working on the quilts for our book Kelli and I did a big debate trying to decide if I should machine quilt them or if we should have someone else do them.  Immediately Kelli and I started talking about Mary as she’s a master….in the end, I did them….but I’ll say, if I ever hired a machine quilter, Mary would be the first I’d consider.

Mary is a big Instagram-er.  If you already follow Mary’s blog and like it, you’ll find even more of Mary’s amazing work on Instagram.  I have to admit to really liking Instagram, it’s so quick.  Mary does a great job posting often there.  I love seeing what she’s up to.

Mary has had lots of big changes in her life the last couple years, children marrying, and a new home to name just a few….oh and of course Bailey, their new dog.  What a cutie!!

Several times I’ve drop an email to Mary and she’s always so quick to answer back and always super helpful.  What a sweetie!  I love having friends afar!
