Are you still hopping along?? So far you should have met Mary from Country Threads, Michelle from Michelle’s Romantic Tangle and Julie for JulieK Quilts. Today our stopping place takes us to Judy at Patchwork Times.
One of the first blogs I started reading was Judy’s blog. I’ve always enjoyed seeing what her and her husband Vince are up to. I’ve followed their move from Missouri to Texas, their house hunt and now their busy lives as they turn their plot of land into into their dream home.
I learn so much from reading Judy’s blog. A few years ago I knew next to nothing about pressure cookers. I always saw that Judy was writing about them and sharing recipes of great looking foods that she made with a pressure cooker. I’d always been curious about cooking with them as I could remember a bean recipe that my mom had made with a pressure cooker and always wanted to replicate it. As Judy continued to write about things she had made with the pressure cooker I finally got brave enough to send her a note and ask which kind of cooker she recommended. Judy was a sweetheart and filled me. I bought a pressure cooker and I have to say, I am so glad I did. I love it.
Judy is always trying out all sorts of new things and I’ll admit, several times she has influenced some of the things I tried too….like growing my own bean sprouts….
I’ve tried yogurt making due to Judy’s influence too. I do have to say that I have resisted the temptation to knit though. Judy is such a talented knitter and often says anyone can knit…I’m afraid to try. Not actually afraid of it..I just don’t need another hobby. I do have enjoying seeing all the awesome projects Judy shares with her readers though.
I have made a couple of quilts designed by Judy. This was my son’s graduation quilt, Connect the Dots. Find the free pattern here.
I also made her Note to Self pattern that you can find here.
I love Judy’s chicken stories. I love her pet stories. I love her recipes. I love her quilt patterns…the list goes on and on.
One of the most important things I learned as a blogger was from Judy. Readers like to see new and fresh posts when they visit. Judy is a master at that! She always has something new and fresh!!
So hop on over to Judy’s and see what she has to say about our book, Country Girl Modern.
I started ready Judy’s blog because of you too:). I love that you both share such a variety of topics.
